"Never put off for tomorrow..."

Getting started is the hardest part!

We are three quarters of the way through January. How many of you have either given up on your resolutions or have not even started? I’ve been known to set a few lofty goals to start off my year, only to find out that I’m quite good at procrastinating and putting off today what I could be doing tomorrow…or the next day, or the week after that, or maybe in a few months from now. However, the Aaron Burr quote actually states “Never put off for tomorrow, what you can do today.” Oops, my bad! I’ve been taking this procrastinating a bit too far. I tend to overload my “To-Do” list with so many priorities, I don’t know where or how to start! And we all know that getting started can be the hardest part of reaching any goal or making an improvement.

So, like my husband says..”just tear off that Band-Aid!”

Here is my start. My new website for Succeed Health, which is long overdue, and a little blog post to go with it. Tearing off this Band-Aid is uncomfortable. Technology is not one of my strengths. And, I haven’t much experience with blog posting. But, I’m starting. I tell my clients, “The magic is in the doing!”. This is me taking my own advice and doing something today, and not putting it off for tomorrow.

What is one thing that you could do today to help you reach a goal or accomplish a task? Where do you need to start? Pick one thing and commit to doing it today. Now is the time to start.

Go ahead, tear off that Band-Aid. It doesn’t hurt too much!

Shine on!
